We would like to extend our gratitude to Nevada Gold Mines LLC for their generous grant, which will enable our school to purchase bleachers and shot clocks. Additionally, the PTO has provided a matching donation of $500. A special thank you goes to Mrs. DelRio for her efforts in writing the grant!
Students at Wells Elementary who reached and surpassed their MAPS test goals had a fantastic time throwing pies in a staff member's face! What a fun way to celebrate their hard work!
Our intramural wrestlers have been performing exceptionally well at their meets. Last weekend was particularly thrilling, as each athlete secured victory by achieving pins against their opponents. and they all remain undefeated!
They will wrestle on March 1st @Adobe Middle School starting at noon.

Our Wells #1 and Wells #2 girls intramural volleyball teams will play at Spring Creek on Friday, February 28th in the Spring Creek Volleyball Cup. Wells #2 will face WWMS #1 at 9 am, and Wells #1 will take on WWMS #2 at 10 am. Good luck teams!

The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association, the non-profit governing body of high school sports in the Silver State, is proud to present a special award each year to the team with the highest-grade point average in each sport per classification.
The NIAA also recognizes those varsity student-athletes who achieved a 4.0 GPA the previous semester by naming them to the All-State Academic Team.
The team grade point average is determined by taking the individual unweighted GPAs of varsity team members from last semester and then computing an overall average.
The NIAA considers this state academic championship award to certainly be equal to the athletic championship award. As the NIAA’s coaches and administrators always stress, the participants are students first, then athletes.
Three of our talented students had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Northeastern Nevada Honor Band, held on February 13-14 in Elko. Their dedication and hard work culminated in a truly outstanding performance. Thank you to Mr. Roberson for assisting the students in this endeavor.
