Las Vegas, NV — September 14–15, 2025
Students from Owyhee Combined School were treated to a two-day experience they’ll never forget—thanks to the Las Vegas Raiders and Nike’s N7 program.
On Sunday, September 14, the Owyhee High School football team—representing the Shoshone-Paiute Tribe—was welcomed by the Raiders organization for a behind-the-scenes visit at the Intermountain Health Performance Center and Allegiant Stadium. Students had the rare opportunity to meet NFL players and coaches, explore the team’s state-of-the-art training facility, and learn firsthand about life as a professional athlete.
The experience became even more meaningful when the team was surprised with brand-new, custom football jerseys, made possible through a Nike N7 grant. The N7 program supports Indigenous youth and communities across North America through sport and wellness.
The visit concluded on Monday, September 15, when the students joined the crowd at Allegiant Stadium to watch the Raiders take on the Los Angeles Chargers during Monday Night Football.
"The Owyhee High School football team would like to thank the Las Vegas Raiders for this once-in-a-lifetime experience that will undoubtedly remain in the hearts and minds of our students and community for years to come," said Owyhee Combined Principal Lynn Manning John. "The Las Vegas Raiders are a class act."
