Cookie Bake Off 2025
In what is fast becoming a fierce rivalry among staff, the Student Leadership class held their annual Staff Cookie Bake-Off. Included in the competition was frontrunner Erika Zundel, well known staff baker. Judges consisted of Russell Abel, Bud Hanchor, Rhett King, Justin Thorpe, Cheryl Hernandez, Sheleena Gardner and students Carmen Atkins, Aleeyah Knight and Sierra Garity. Some of the judges made their decisions quickly and others debated and thought about each cookie–taste, appearance, texture.
When the final votes were tallied, reigning champ Erika Zundel again was the winner with her O’Christmas Tree cookie. Second place went to Kristie Malicoat, with a Gingerbread Man; third place was won by Nurse Jen Fuller with a Grinch cookie and a mint peanut butter and M&M cookie took fourth place, made by Raquel Black.
“Thank you to the judges who had a tough job to do, but I am sure they enjoyed the taste testing. I hope we can do this again next year!” Mrs. Lei. Congratulations to all the bakers.
